Robert has been a photographer since 1970 and a filmmaker since 1986. His patience and skill shows in the timeless beauty of his work. He has worked to preserve this country's wild and scenic areas, both in film and photography by capturing inspirational images of the breathtaking beauty of nature. Robert shares his enthusiasm and passion through his art, film, and photography. Robert's years of experience in studying and teaching art has carried over into his photography. Like in art and film, photography has everything to do with composition, design, clarity, and light.

One of Robert's greatest gifts is his ability to share his passion and enthusiasm for photography with others. He has the ability to effectively communicate the components of one's art that makes a truly great instructor. Robert teaches groups and individual workshops and fieldtrips, going to amazing locations such as, Lake Tahoe, Nevada,Yosemite, Mt. Shasta, Moab, Utah, Yellowstone, and Maui, Hawaii. He also enjoys underwater filming and photography Robert loves photographing marine wildlife. He has explored the oceans around the world in an effort to captured images of some of the ocean sea life.

Robert's photography has been shown throughout the west and his work has been published in periodicals and books. He worked as a photo journalist, shooting sports for two newspapers. His long artistic career includes graphic design, fine art sculpture, landscape and wildlife painting in oils and acrylics, designing and building custom homes in the Lake Tahoe area. Robert enjoys traveling, and scuba diving conducting workshops in the field and Landscape and Wildlife Photography. He has designed and written several nautre photography books. He lives in the foothills of the Sierra Mountains in Northern California with his wife Elaine.
